Privacy Policy

MusicTrainerPro is a music practice service operated by One Music Media. This policy covers both the website and the iOS and Android apps. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.
What we collect
Account
Your email address and nickname, and optionally a display name, location, profile photo and background image. If you sign in with Apple, Google or Microsoft, we receive your email address and, where available, your name from that provider — never your password.
Practice and library activity
Practice sessions and their duration, progress through courses, lessons and the curriculum, review and memorisation schedules, favourite songs, artists and instruments, your instruments and skill levels, calendar entries and reminders, forum posts, and gear entries. This is the substance of the service: without it there is no progress tracking.
Sign-in records
For each sign-in we store the time, whether it came from the web or the mobile app, the method used (password or which provider), the platform, the app version and the interface language. We do not log your IP address and we do not build a location history from sign-ins.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's systems and never reach ours; we store only the resulting payment records.
Microphone and MIDI
The tuner, voice trainer and note feedback listen through your microphone, and the app can connect to a MIDI instrument. Audio is analysed on your device, in real time, and immediately discarded. No recording is made, and no audio or MIDI data is uploaded to our servers or to anyone else. Only the practice result — that a session happened and how it scored — is saved.
The microphone is used only while a listening feature is on screen, and only after you grant permission. You can withdraw that permission at any time in your device settings; playback, looping and every other feature keep working without it.
Notifications
Practice and lesson reminders are scheduled locally on your device from your own calendar entries. They do not involve a push server.
How we use it, and on what legal basis
- To provide the service — account, content access, progress tracking, payments. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- To keep the service secure and working — sign-in records, error diagnostics, aggregate usage counts. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a functioning, non-abused service.
- Optional extras — microphone access, profile photos. Legal basis: your consent, withdrawable at any time.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Apple, Google, Microsoft — only if you choose to sign in with them, and only to verify that sign-in.
- Our hosting provider — the servers the service runs on, in the EU.
No other third parties receive your personal data.
Cookies
A single authentication cookie, strictly necessary to keep you signed in, plus a cookie recording your cookie-banner choice. No tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Account and practice data are kept until you delete your account, after which they are removed. Payment records are anonymised and retained for 7 years, as accounting law requires. Sign-in records are kept while the account exists.
Your rights
- Access and portability — download a copy of all your personal data from your Profile page.
- Erasure — delete your account and its data from your Profile page, or from Account in the mobile app.
- Rectification — correct your profile information at any time.
- Objection and restriction — contact us and we will act on it.
- Complaint — you may lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. In the Czech Republic that is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz).
Children
The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
